A typical Fighter pilot of the 1939 period, he wears the famous B'type flying helmet fitted with leather earcups to take the radio receivers, Mk 2 goggles and the D'type oxygen mask fitted with the 1935 patt chamois covered micraphone. He is wearing a white flying overall commonly worn by pilots of this era together with 1936 patt flying boots and 1933 patt gauntlets. He is also wearing the extremely rare 1932 patt Green "Mae West" which were often Sprayed with yellow dope to aid visibility when the pilot bailed out into the sea.
Over all this he wears his seat type parachute so called because the parachute and pack actually form the cushion of the pilots seat.
